Headlamp Snowshoe Tour
Headlamp Snowshoe tours are offered several times a season at Enchanted Forest (depending on the weather). During a short guided tour through the forest and meadows, guests often see animal tracks and hear coyotes and other wildlife. The tour ends at the base area warming hut with hot drinks, cookies, and other delights. The tour is not recommended for children under Age 9.
7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018, Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019 & Saturday, March 9, 2019
Come join us for an unforgettable experience: Snowshoe Enchanted Forest’s trails at night with a headlamp and guides. See nocturnal wildlife, starlit vistas, and magical nighttime forest views. We will cover about 3 miles during the tour and there will be a 200-foot elevation change. The tour ends at the area’s warming hut with hot drinks and refreshments.
$ 5.00 Rental Snowshoes (reservations required)
We will limit the tour to 20 people — reservations are required!
Snowshoeing is an aerobic activity — we will try to keep a moderate pace, but at elevations ranging from 9,600 to 10,000 feet, it can be too much for some.
The tour is not recommended for children under 12.
